Friday 14 October 2005 - Service interruption notice, Can you spare 5 minutes?, It's their birthday!
Service interruption notice

Due to a change in the DNS records, you may find the sURL service is unavailable over the course of today. This change was necessary due to issues with the previous DNS provider for the surl.co.uk domain name. Thanks to Inspiratech 2000 Ltd (both the host and the new DNS provider) these interruptions should be kept to a minimum, with normal service resumed by this evening.

In addition to the sURL changes, I would like to advise those using the sGB service that there is to be an update implemented at approximately 18:00 (6pm) GMT London. This may result in the service being unavailable for around 5 - 10 minutes whilst the accounts and files are updated. Full details on this can be found here.

Can you spare 5 minutes?

As announced in the October issue of the Ur I.T. Mate Group newsletter, I am currently looking for feedback on the new design for the Ur I.T. Mate Group homepage. Although some features have yet to be updated and included, I am specifically looking for feedback on whether the new design makes it easier or harder, for you to find the information, service or product you were looking for?.

All feedback and comments can either be e-mailed to myself via the contact form provided, or via the new Intranet ticket system.

It's their birthday!

Calendar of Updates, run by Donna Buenaventura (MS MVP) and the many wonderful volunteers, celebrated it's third birthday on Tuesday.

Calendar of Updates started as an effort to provide internet users with a central place to locate and keep upto date with software updates. Over the last 3 years, CoU has turned into an amazing resource providing tips, support and of course, software updates (amongst many other things) through the tireless efforts of it's owners and members.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish CoU a happy birthday and a prosperous future and most importantly, thank each and every person that helps make CoU what it is today.
